Wiseman Peaches

1 lb. fresh peaches (may be canned if drained)
1 c. sugar
1 c. water
4 whole cloves
1 pinch ginger
1 stick cinnamon

Boil sugar and water for 5 minutes. Pour sugar syrup over peaches and add the remaining ingredients. Mix well.
